Position: Nursery Maintenance Person
Vibrant Plants is a wholesale
grower and distributor of nursery stock with multiple locations around the Puget
Sound. It’s
primary location is in Woodinville, WA. This position will tend and maintain wide
variety of nursery equipment including tractors, planting machines,
irrigation systems, delivery trucks and green houses.
The preferred candidate will come
with a diverse background and previous maintenance experience in a comparable
industry and be knowledgeable of electrical, hydraulic and irrigation
systems. Other areas of
responsibility may include general carpentry, plumbing and welding as well as
roads, grounds and building maintenance.
Bilingual (Spanish/English) candidates are encouraged to apply. Travel around the Puget sound
is expected. The ideal candidate will
have there own tools and dependable transportation.
Additional
requirements include:

industrial trucks and cars

Ability to lift 25 lbs frequently, 75 lbs
occasionally.

Position: Customer Information / Inventory
Control Specialist
Summary: Vibrant
Plants is a wholesale grower and distributor of nursery stock. This position will be part of a two-person
team and each person will alternate responsibilities between customer service
tasks and inventory control tasks through out the workday or as directed.
Duties: Customer
Service:
- Greet
inbound customers upon arrival at nursery grounds.
- Explain
nursery practices to new (existing) customers.
- Address
simple location and availability questions raised by inbound customers.
- Provide
necessary paperwork, maps and plant availabilities to customer.
- Direct
inbound delivery vehicles to appropriate locations
- Direct
delivery paperwork to appropriate personnel.
- Inspect
that every departing customer has receipts as necessary.
- Maintain
and keep up plant display area as necessary, as directed.
- Maintain
and keep up work area and booth.
- May
assist other departments as necessary.
Inventory Control:
- Count
and inspect plants arriving from inbound deliveries.
- Attach
appropriate tagging to plants as required.
- Perform
cycle counts of plant inventory updating quantities as required.
- Document
plant status changes.
- Organize
and push together fields and display areas.
- Monitor
inventory levels.
- Monitor
and update/replace inventory tags as required.
- Other
duties as required.
Qualifications:
- Plant
identification knowledge or previous nursery experience
(2+ year
degree in Horticulture may substitute)
- Computer
experience (preferred)
- Bilingual
Spanish/English (preferred)
- Ability
to work in all climate conditions
- Ability
to reach, stand, and walk around industrial trucks and cars
- Ability
to lift 10 lbs frequently, 40 lbs occasionally.

Position: ORDER PULLER/DELIVERY
DRIVER
Summary: Vibrant
Plants is a wholesale grower and distributor of container grown nursery
stock. This position will work
directly towards fulfilling customer orders by pulling plant materials from
fields, loading company trucks and then driving a delivery truck to customer
location within greater Puget Sound.
Duties:
- Read
and understand plant pick tickets and pick tags.
- Locate
and retrieve plant materials from fields.
- Drive
field tractor with trailer to transport plant materials to loading dock.
- Organize
plant materials for proper & efficient loading of trucks.
- Attach
appropriate retails tags and remove any wholesale price tags from
plants.
- Inspect
plants for quality and likeness prior to shipping.
- Load
and pack trucks according to predetermined delivery schedule.
- Transport
plant materials to customer location via company truck.
- Assist
in unloading plant materials at customer’s location.
- Communicate
with customers in a courteous and professional manner.
- Return
shipping documents to sales office in that organized manner.
- Maintain
and keep up work areas.
- Assist
in unloading inbound delivery trucks when possible.
- May
assist other departments as necessary.
- Other
duties as required.
Qualifications:
- Plant
identification knowledge or previous nursery experience.
- Clean
Driving Record.
- Bilingual
Spanish/English (must effectively communicate in English)
- Ability
to work in all climate conditions.
- Ability
to reach, stand, and walk around industrial
trucks and cars.
- Ability
to lift 10 lbs frequently, 60 lbs occasionally.
